Pass on th good - Lanyu

Today we are sharing with you our trip to LANYU ISLAND, Workshops and Mural painting. 

Day 1 - 2, From Taitung we took the ferry to Lanyu as advised by Maraos, at first we are a bit worried because of the weather, wind and waves. But we came a long way, our will and purpose gave us the courage to move. As expected the trip is rough, the toughest 2 hour trip of our lives.

But it was all worth it, stepping to the island makes us feel home; the wind, land and seascapes are so familiar. Upon arival we are warmly welcomed by the Lan-An Educational and Cultural foundation staffs, since its our first time to visit Lanyu with Fishsnipers, they gave us an educational tour to their Museum, artist and to the communities. 

During the tour, we are happy that we are able to communicate and immerse with the local. Truly we are connected and we share a lot in ways of life. Kudos to Mr. Maraos and the Lan-An Educational and cultural Foundation team for supporting and nurturing the arts and culture of Lanyu. You're an inspiration and a role model, we are looking forward for more art activities and collaboration with you. 

Day 3-5 During our stay in Lanyu, we had the chance to conduct a short art workshop to Lan-An foundation's kinder pupils. To loosen and warm them up, we let them draw anything they want. With the help of their teachers, each pupils share the stories of their drawings. During the string art activity the students get excited, all of them asked for more. 

At the end of the activity, we told the pupils that their drawings will appear on the murals. It took us 2 days and 2 nights to complete the murals. 

At our last day, we presented the murals to the pupils, we were so happy to see them smile as they observe the murals with their drawings.
